When we found out that Sonja was coming to live with us, we had several possible names chosen. "Sonja" was not on the list. But none of the names on the list seemed to fit the confident, forthright kitten who arrived. After a long discussion, we settled on Red Sonja (Sonja's red bits are *very* red. Red Sonja is a character originated by Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian. Definitely a woman who makes her own choices. The Ring of Ikribu cover art
