When she and her siblings were running about wreaking havoc in our bedroom, Elektra was proofreading Elizabeth Moon's Against the Odds for Baen Books. Part of the "Serrano Legacy," Against the Odds was so engrossing that it led to Elektra going back and reading the entire series. Esmay is named for the main character in Against the Odds. Her siblings were named for other characters in the book, Barin Serrano & Lord Thornbuckle (aka "Bunny"). Esmay is a strong, gutsy, attractive character and seemed to really fit this bouncy outgoing kitten. More information about Elizabeth Moon's excellent books can be found on her homepage. CH BlueBlaze Heris Serrano "Heris" DGC,RW Florabunda Faux Paw of Kennebec X CH BlueBlaze Esmay Suiza Heris is the daughter we kept from Esmay's first litter. We decided to continue with the Serrano Legacy series theme, and named her for one of the most famous scions of the family, Heris Serrano, main character in Hunting Parting, Sporting Chance, and Winning Colors.
